| Classifications of Membership |
There are 5 levels of membership attainable:
Student (S.P.C.S) - whilst receiving training or studying towards appropriate examinations Licentiate (L.P.C.S) - Immediately post training or qualification (prior to gaining appropriate experience) Associate (A.P.C.S) - Appropriate training or qualifications and at least 2 years experience Fellow (F.P.C.S) - Appropriate training or qualifications and at least 5 years experience Honorary Membership - Special or long service (at the discretion of the Council) Appropriate qualifications are those provided by a recognised college, university, institution, or specialist provider within the chosen sphere of business. Appropriate training could be received through the working environment. |

| Admission to the Society |
Admission to the Society as Fellow or Associate is gained by: 1) Satisfying the society that they are experienced in their field by completing an application form and providing a C.V which clarifies their training or qualifications and experience in their chosen specialist field. 2) Satisfying the society that they are reliable members of the community by providing the names of two referees, Admission to the Society as Licentiate or Student is gained by: 1) Satisfying the society that they have gained or are in the process of gaining relevant training or qualifications in their chosen specialist field. 2) Satisfying the society that they are reliable members of the community by providing one referee (in the case of a student this could be tutor on related course of study). |
| Upgrades | Uprades are automatically given if requested by a member once appropriate training, qualification or experience has been acquired. A charge is made to cover administration costs and the cost of a new certificate. The difference between the subscription rates is also payable (except from Student to Licentiate) should the upgrade occur at any other time than on the anniversary of election. On upgrade from Licentiate to Associate or Fellow the member must provide one more reference preferably professional. Upgrades are usually consecutive. |
